April Gothic One

April Gothic One (エイプリルゴシック) is an energetic and bold display style Japanese font free for download. Brought to you by the same author that created Kaitou Yokoku Gothic, this font was created by deriving from a famous open-sourced font called “Dela Gothic One“, by rotating down and tilting up the characters by 10 degrees. With this modification, the characters became more active and alive, giving a strong sense of energy and movement.

April Gothic One carries the same character support as the original Dela Gothic One, with full supports of kanji JIS Level 1 and partial Level 2, and it also supports Latin, Greek and Cyrillic script. This font is free to download and can be used on commercial projects and it is released under SIL Open Font License.

Bear in mind that you will need to have a Pixiv account in order to download, which is rather easy to create. Once installed, you will be able to select this font under the name “April Gothic oneEipuriru5 / 5,000April Gothic One” (must be some mistake in naming the font…) in your writing or design tools.
