Madou Futo Maru Gothic
Madou Futo Maru Gothic (魔導太丸ゴシック) is a neat looking, medium bold pixel style Japanese font you can download for free. It has been used in several Japanese games for in-game dialogs and end credits. The strokes are slightly thickened and constructed with a larger grid base so that it’s accommodating for complex kanji characters, making it easier to read on both large and small text size.
Madou Futo Maru Gothic comes with kana characters with large kanji library. I can’t find any official details of the kanji level support, but from my investigation it fully supports JIS Level 1, Level 2 and IBM extended characters. Besides that, Latin, Greek and Cyrillic scripts are supported as well. You can download this font for free for personal and commercial use.
