Hitori Gothic
Hitori Gothic (ひとりゴシック) is a conventional, clean looking handwriting style Japanese font for free download. It was created by hand in one go by the font author so it might not be very polished around the edges. But in overall the handwriting was tidy, and it retains the characteristics of writing with pen on notebook.
Hitori Gothic works well in smaller font sizes, and it looks great too in vertical text display. It supports most common Japanese characters, and while there are no official details on the kanji level support, but from what it looks like it covers almost all JIS Level 1 and partial JIS Level 2. You can download this font free free and be used on commercial projects.
Usage Permission
- Free for personal, non-commercial and commercial use.
- This font is also released under SIL Open Font License, therefore you can embed this font (Despite the official OFL licensing file is not included in the download package).
- Duplication and redistribution of the font data is prohibited.
