Tsugumi Maru Gothic
Tsugumi Maru Gothic (つぐみ丸ゴシック) is a stylish gothic (sans-serif) style free Japanese font created that comes in rounded finish. Created by mokuzai, it was born from the marriage of two open-source typefaces that you can find on Google Fonts: The kana and other characters from Tsukimi Maru Go Kana (つきみ丸ゴかな) and kanji characters from Zen Maru Gothic (Zen丸ゴシック). Plus, the weight of Zen Maru Gothic was adjusted to pair better visually and cohesively with Tsukimi characters. The result is a rounded gothic font with a nice balance of design characteristics from both fonts: the flowy of Tsukimi and the neatness and precision from Zen Maru.
Tsugumi Maru Gothic comes with a nifty five font weights from Light to Bold. The rounded strokes give it a gentle, approachable personality that works beautifully for UI text, body copy in casual publications, social media graphics, and anywhere you want warmth without going full handwritten. It’s released under SIL Open Font License, hence you can download this font for free and be used on commercial projects.
