Mouhitsu Bold Font (毛筆太文字) is a thick calligraphy style font that you can download. It comes with complete hiragana and katakana, however the kanji characters are very limited and only has capital alphabetical letters only.

Usage Permission

    Tried to uninstall this font but can’t seem to find it in the control panel, but am able to search for the font and use it on MS Word. The font’s name appears to be blank when manually searching for it in the font list in MS Word but typing it out shows “mouhituP” which doesn’t even tally with its given name here. I believe that this is the cause of it appearing as “blank” in the Control Panel as well, since I couldn’t find it.

    It is a nice font for Japanese characters but I would rather for it to be available for English as well, because the font didn’t work when I tried typing English characters using this font.

    Well, I would kindly like to have a reply on how to uninstall this font because it has been bugging me ever since I found out it isn’t available in English on my computer, and also due to the fact that I couldn’t find it in the font list in control panel.

      Hi, sadly the font characters can only be shown with Japanese input. And also I installed it on my PC, and indeed was nowhere could be found. Tried changed to Japanese language and is still not showing in the Font folder. I’m clueless right now. Really sorry for inconvenience.

    Hi, I’m not sure because I’m using Google Translate but the readme of this font says to contact the creator if it’s used commercially — is this correct or a slight mistranslation from Google Translate?

      You were right. If were to use commercially, will have to inform the creator on the usage. Let me add more details to the usage permissions.
